How do YOU farm Balthazar faction? - Guild Wars Forums

I find it hard to farm Balthazar faction with ONLY factions. It's hard to get UAS when you don't have a lot of skills that can be used to make builds.

How on earth do you farm enough faction to get UAS?
How long does it usually take, with ONLY factions?

Well, Random and team arenas aren't restricted to either chapter, so you can do those as well as a prophecies-only char would.

Both Factions and Prophecies have a lowbie arena (PvE charas), and Factions is actually bit better when it comes to balth faction, I suppose. There's AvA for Pve/PvP-only players, and Aspenwood/Quarry for PvE players, tho they give 3 faction per kill, I assume RA and TA give more, dunno. I just do Aspenwood/AvA myself.

Sure, there's some skills that are Prophecies only, but I'd assume they can be improvised with some Factions-version of those skills, tho every skill doesn't have an equivalent Factions skill, and vice versa.

AvA = Alliance Battle (Alliance versus alliance)

AvA is a horrible name he came up for it though, everyone just calls it AB. Because it isnt actually alliances battling, but factions.

Anyway, I dont farm Balt Faction, I got most of mine off GvGs (you can easily get over 1,000faction a gvg if you win).

I personally found tht pvping in Hoh is the most effective way to farm faction.....battles dont last extremely long as opposed to GVG and u get a considerable amount of balth faction... + FAME... ive gained over 200k faction alone by pvping in hero's ascent + its fun to play the diff builds and so forth...

Problem is....my guild doesn't GvG much...and one of the main things guilds want is UAS...

I got my 550k faction from RA, TA and gvg mostly, and a little from HA. This took quite a lot of time, and although i didnt actively farm any, i have a fair bit. However, if you want faction quickly you can do the arena challenge on the isle of the nameless. Simply follow the quest path after making a pvp character. The Arena wins will get you about 500 faction in total, which is useful if you need to unlock a skill quick, and havent got time for forming a team in TA. While this the fastest way of getting faction, its also the worst way. You dont learn anything that way, and its brain numbingly boring.

make a boon prot for RA, and you can farm both balth. faction and gladiator points at the same time! XD

u can also make a trapper with frozen soil and kill the smiting monks over and over in zaishen challenge (this is soooo boring though)
